Marshall Lee Myers

Marshall Lee Myers peacefully passed away at home on January 27, 2026, in Uvalde, Texas, with his wife Leslie by his side. Though he had been ill for some time, Marshall remained a fighter with a deep appreciation for life and family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, finding his greatest joy in hearing their laughter. While technology was never his strength, he would do anything to stay connected with loved ones, many of whom lived far away. Marshall’s faith sustained him throughout his life, and he now rests in the peace and promise of eternal life. Marshall was born on September 5, 1950, in Harlingen, Texas, to Donald and Patricia (Bennett) Myers. He was raised in Wichita Falls before moving to Donna, Texas, where he developed values rooted in service, perseverance, and loyalty. Marshall proudly served in the Texas National Guard from 1970 to 1976, a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty and dedication. In 1976, he began a career in the produce industry, where he worked for 43 years and became well known and respected. He greatly enjoyed his time in South Texas and formed lifelong friendships. Marshall loved making memories with family and friends while raising and showing cattle, as well as deer and dove hunting. In 2001, Marshall married the love of his life, Leslie Taylor. Together, they made their home in Uvalde, Texas, where they spent 22 years of their 25-year marriage, building a life filled with love, partnership, and devotion. Marshall lived a life defined not by loud words but by consistent love, quiet strength, steadfast faith, and deep devotion to his family. He had a great appreciation for history and found joy in learning about the past — often sharing thoughtful insights, stories, and lessons that reflected his belief in understanding the stories that shaped us. As a father and husband, Marshall was loving, dependable, and proud. He showed his love through guidance, hard work, and always being there when it mattered most. His wife and children will forever carry his lessons, his values, and the example he set, lived with modesty and grace. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he cherished so dearly. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Patricia Myers, and his brother, Brian Myers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Leslie (Taylor) Myers; his children, Aaron Myers, Ryan Myers, and his wife, Lucinda; and Robyn Baldwin and her husband, Thomas. He was a cherished grandfather to Crosby, Graham, Lucy, Thatch, and Pierce, who brought him great pride and joy. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Erica McKey and her husband, Eric; Elizabeth Shurley and her husband Stephen and their children Declan, Audan, and Ronan; his sister, Diane Myers and her son Patrick; and his sister-in-law, Tara Myers, and her sons Beckett and Lleyton. Marshall will be laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Burial details will be shared through Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home of Uvalde.
