Marcella Ann Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marcella Williams (Marcy), 82, passed away on Monday, June 20, at Bridges in Mission , Texas . She was born in Springfield , Minnesota on November 25, 1939 to Lawrence and Rosella Vogl. Marcy was raised on the family farm in Walnut Grove , Minnesota with her siblings, Donald and Robert. After high school, she moved to Chicago where she met her husband, William (Bill). The two married on December 6, 1958, and raised three children together. Marcy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, swimming, and traveling. Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Rosella Vogl, and her husband, William Albert Williams. Left to treasure her memory are her brothers, Donald Vogl and Robert Vogl, her three children, Debra de la Garza (Ildefonso), William A. Williams (Shawn), and Scott Williams (Mary Jane), her grandchildren, Joel de la Garza, Adrian de la Garza, Dana de la Garza, William Aaron Williams, Amanda Wasik, Delaney Williams, Bryan Williams, and Sarah Williams, and four great-grandchildren, Xia, Brody, Zoey, and Emma Lynn. She also leaves behind her grand dog Ginger. Visitation will be held on August 10 at Kreidler Funeral Home from 5-8pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will take place on August 11 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen with interment at Roselawn Cemetery immediately after. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kreidler Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Gracia Hospice, Nurse Ceci, Mission Valley Nursing and Transitional Care, The Bridges at Mission , Dr. Juan Flores, Nurse Yesenia, and Marcy’s friends, Nina and Chayo Ortiz. They are forever grateful. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that tribute gifts be made to the American Lung Association in Marcella’s name.
