Kenny Terveen, age 67, of McAllen, passed on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Kenny was a loving son, husband, father, and friend to all he knew. He was born in 1949 in Weslaco, Texas and raised in Donna, Texas. He attended Pan American College after graduating from Donna High School in 1968. Kenny married the love of his life, Vickey (Robbins) on April 2, 1983. They were married for 34 years. Kenny was loved and admired by many. His infectious personality made those who met him immediately feel like longtime friends. As a young adult in the 1970s, he played the beloved character of Bozo the Clown on KRGV – Channel 5. Equipped with his personality and tenacious effort, Kenny excelled as a salesman in the corrugated box industry for over forty years. Kenny was a superior outdoorsman and could most often be found hunting or fishing in his spare time. He cherished his time spent with family and friends and enjoyed playing recreational sports, including softball and flag football for the City of McAllen. He is survived by his wife, Vickey, and his daughter, Vanessa (Will) Lowry. He is also survived by his parents, Dedrick and Marjorie Terveen, his siblings, Dede (Melinda) Terveen, Joan (James) Lavender, and Melvin (Beverly) Terveen, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Terveen. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in McAllen, Texas on Saturday, September 16th. Family visitation will be held at 12:00 PM at the church prior to the service. Kenny will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, Texas immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be Dede Terveen, Melvin Terveen, Lance Terveen, Cameron Terveen, Kemper Morrow, and Bob Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1600 Harvey Drive, McAllen, Texas 78501.
