Blanche ann Benda Kucia

Blanche Ann Benda Kucia, 77 went to be with the Lord January 17, 2022, in Pharr, Texas, surrounded by her family. She was born March 6, 1944 in Cicero, Illinois. She was proceeded in death by her son Timothy Allen Kucia and her parents Fred and Marie (Graffort) Benda. Blanche is survived by her loving husband Edward James Kucia; her sons, Scott Kucia, Philip (Carla) Kucia, and Chon “Sonny” (Jenny) Hinojosa. Blanche has four grandchildren Holden, Lauren, Taylor, and Trevor. She also leaves behind her three siblings Freddy Benda, Chester Benda, and Barbara Benda. Edward and Blanche moved to the Rio Grande Valley in the early 1970’s where she taught at Hargill Elementary School. In the 1980’s Eddie and Blanche opened the Time Out Club in McAllen, Texas. Later she led the banquet services at McAllen Country Club for several years during the mid-90s and finished her career working at South Texas Vo-Tech in McAllen, Texas, as Director of Job Placement. She lived a joyful life with her family and many friends she met throughout her retirement years at Tropic Star Resort in Pharr, Texas. Blanche was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held for Blanche Kucia, at Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen, Texas, 314 N. 10th St. McAllen Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm.
