Robert Joseph Leo "Bob" Reagan

September 21, 1923 - August 27, 2026 Robert Joseph Leo “Bob” Reagan, of Weslaco, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 27, 2026, just weeks shy of his 103rd birthday. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 21, 1923, Bob lived an extraordinary life filled with experiences, adventures, friendships, faith, family, and more stories than could ever be told in a single lifetime. Bob was the son of Joseph A. Reagan and Catherine L. Reagan. He served his country as a member of the Merchant Marines, a chapter of his life of which he was proud. He was married to the love of his life, Deanie Moseley Solether Reagan, and their love remained an important part of his life throughout the years. Deanie preceded him in death, as did his daughter, Bobbie Jo Reagan. Bob and Deanie will be laid to rest together at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Bob is survived by his son, Ronald Reagan, and his stepchildren, Bonnie Solether Wilson, Jon Soleather, and Mark Solether (Delma). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Cain Reagan (Jennifer), and Roark Reagan, and his much-loved step-grandchildren, Ashley Wilson Williamson, Allison Wilson Speer, Austin Wilson, Brook Solether Terveen, Barbie Solether Maupin, Blake Solether Margo, Summer Solether Granados, and Banks Solether, along with many great-grandchildren who brought additional joy and meaning to his long life. In his later years, Bob was lovingly cared for by his caregiver, Mary Ozias, whose kindness and dedication meant so much to him. He was also blessed with the friendship and care of his sweet neighbors, Eddie and Cindy Estevanes, who looked after him and were a loving presence in his life. Bob attended Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco, where his faith was an important part of his life. He loved God and found joy in many of the simple pleasures that make life memorable—good food, good wine, and good music. But perhaps what made Bob most memorable was the remarkable life he had lived. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him knew there was always another story to tell. Nearly 103 years gave him an incredible collection of memories, experiences, opinions, humor, and tales of days gone by. His stories will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved to hear them. Bob lived a long and interesting life. He loved deeply, remembered much, and was grateful to be so blessed. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the God he loved, reunited at last with his beloved Deanie.
